Alameda County Reading Association (ACRA) shall be established as a nonprofit, tax exempt, nonpolitical affiliate of the California Reading Association (CRA) and the International Reading Association (IRA.) Our mission is to help promote literacy locally, nationally, and internationally.
Goals and Purposes
The major goals and purposes of the ACRA shall be to:
- Promote and disseminate information on reading and language arts, research, legislation, trends, and instruction to ACRA members and the general public;
- Promote communication and cooperation among individuals concerned with reading instruction, reading in the content areas, and improvement of language arts at all educational levels; and
- Support the goals and purposes of the California Reading Association and the International Reading Association
